About Bridget

Ive been a dedicated artist for the last 10 years, initially in portraiture (finalist in NZ portrait prize) and currently painting organic abstracts.

After falling in love with the Impressionists and their thick oily brush strokes at high school, I gained a 4yr Visual Communications degree then spent 20+ years working as a Graphic designer.

After building a home studio in Christchurch, we relocated to Melbourne for 3+ years. I then worked in a shared studio space in a three story warehouse with 80 other artists.

Exhibiting at Flinders Lane station, finding my style and signing at several galleries were some of the highlights. Missing both my sister and hot custard croissants are a couple of the low points.

I’m a mother of two, supporter of local business and one of those messy artists. As an oil painter it’s completely acceptable to turps your brushes at the end of the day and only clean up once a month.

I am planning to exhibit independently later in the year. You can support this by sending me your email or keeping up on socials at the top of page.
